Savoy Cabbage

Savoy cabbage is related to it’s the more widely used white cabbage, but has much more crinkled, crunchier leaves and a milder flavour. It’s just as good for you, being low in calories and providing high amounts of vitamins A, C and K. Savoy cabbage in the UK is grown mainly for the fresh market, although some are grown for processing. It’s mostly grown in modules which are then transplanted, and can be grown in a range of UK soils, where good drainage can act to suppress club root disease.
