As a graduate of Newcastle University, with a degree in Agricultural Business Management, Roger formally joined Elsoms as a Director in 2007 and became Chairman of Elsoms Seeds Ltd in 2011.
Roger has been instrumental in growing Elsoms’ business by establishing both Elsoms Wheat in 2013 and Elsoms Akermann Barley in 2017. Roger is also Chairman of Elsoms (Spalding) Ltd, the Elsoms holding company.
Roger’s focus is on leading the continued development of Elsoms’ strategy, based on building long-term relationships with strategic partners.
Robin has had a lifelong career in horticulture and agriculture after gaining a degree in horticulture at Wye College.
Prior to joining Elsoms, Robin spent time with ADAS at both Stockbridge House and Kirton experimental stations being involved in field vegetable research before joining Elsoms as Trials and Brassica Crop Manager. Robin moved and joined Horticulture Research international (HRI), working at both Kirton and Wellesbourne before returning to Elsoms where he is now Deputy Chairman.
Finance and Logistics Director
Andrew started at Elsoms in 2014 and was appointed Finance Director in 2015. In addition to being responsible for group finances he is also responsible for IT, HR, Health and Safety, and in 2017 became Finance and Logistics Director by taking on board level responsibility for warehousing and logistics.
Andrew began his accountancy career in practice after completing an engineering degree at the University of Nottingham. He has worked in various finance related roles across multiple sectors including financial services, food manufacturing, waste management, timber, charities and the public sector. Across these industries his experience ranges from SME’s to FTSE 100 multinational sized companies.
Research, Development and Marketing Director
David joined Elsoms in 2016 and now leads the R&D and Marketing team. David is responsible for applying insightful market research and the latest technical advances in breeding, trialling, seed production and seed treatment to produce market shaping innovations.
David has a degree in Biology from Bangor University. His previous experience includes working for Bayer CropScience in a variety of international marketing and technical roles, and for Westland Horticulture in the UK as Head of Technical Development. David has lived and worked in the USA, Germany and France.
