Versatile Programme during Bejo Open House Days
Cabbage and more during Bejo Open House Days
Bejo is hosting its annual Open House Days from Tuesday, 22 September up to and including Saturday, 26 September 2015. Customers and business relations from all corners visit Bejo to view its vegetable crops and varieties, which are grown throughout the world, in its demonstration fields. Various activities will be organised daily from 09:00 to 17:00 (Saturday until 16:00) at the Trambaan 2 in Warmenhuizen in the Netherlands.
Crops, varieties and innovative concepts
Existing and new varieties will be on display in Bejo’s demonstration fields. In the main tent, Bejo will display its innovative concepts, among other things. The Coolwrap will once again be featured this year. This is an innovative cabbage wrap concept that is now being sold in the Netherlands, Denmark and Sweden, and is spreading to other countries. Since mid-September, Coolwrap will be featured by Dutch supermarket chain Albert Heijn as the product of the month. This means that you can start using it at home as well. Visit the Bejo Open House for inspiring recipes.
Companies involved in crop cultivation will present themselves
Fifty companies will be located around the demonstration fields and will have a large variety of machines used for growing, storing and processing crops on display. Bejo has also invited a company that combines drone technology with soil and crop surveys. There will also be exhibitors with specialised machines for packaging the end-product. A number of companies will provide live demonstrations in the fields during the Open House.
Representatives of the exhibiting companies will be available to provide you with information about their products. A summary of the participating companies and additional information about the Open House can also be obtained via Bejo’s Open House App. This app can be downloaded free of charge through the well-known app stores and our website.
Walk the seed route
Visitors can take a guided tour through the Seed Technology Laboratory, and the seed cleaning and processing facilities. The produced seeds are tested for quality, processed and packaged here, after which they are sown by growers throughout the world. The Research Centre will also give presentations about activities and developments in the field of research during the Open House Days.
Bejo Taste, Health & Innovation 2015 - Brassica Symposium
On Thursday, 24 September, Bejo will be organising the Taste, Health & Innovation 2015 - Brassica symposium. The symposium will deal with taste, health and innovation in brassicas and consists of a product and market forum. Are you interested in an update about brassica-related innovations and developments? Would you like to know more about the benefits of constituents such as glucosinolate? Would you like to acquire insight into how to bring brassicas with added value to the market? If so, attend the Brassica Symposium 2015!
The number of participants is limited. Therefore, be sure to contact your Bejo representative to register. Visit events.bejo.com for additional information.
Meet Agrisemen’s lettuce product range
Bejo recently added lettuce to its product range. This is why the conventional demonstration field was expanded by 2400 m2. The lettuce product range that you will be able to view comprises 120 different lettuce varieties, classified into five different types of lettuce: Iceberg, Batavia, Butterhead, Oakleaf and Lollo. “Lettuce is a popular vegetable and an important crop throughout the world. It fits very well into our product range and the growing schedule of our customers," explains John-Pieter Schipper, Bejo’s CEO.
We invite you to attend this event from Tuesday, 22 September up to and including Saturday, 26 September in Warmenhuizen in the Netherlands. For more information about the Open House Days visit http://www.bejo.com and www.bejo.nl.
