Stiff Strawed
Very similar strength to Claire, so Kipling will probably need a PGR programme in most situations. Length of straw is identical to Claire.

Earliness of Ripening
Medium/Early maturity. About 1 day later than Claire. Kipling has a wide sowing window with no specific recommendation for particularly early or late sowing.

Disease Resistance
Good resistance scores for the major diseases e.g. Mildew (6).

Orange Wheat Blossom Midge
Full genetic resistance proven over the last 4 years when nil or negligible larvae or grain damage has been seen.

Grain Quality
A soft endosperm feed wheat with high Hagberg and very good specific weight.
